Netflix is collaborating with gaming firm Ubisoft for a live-action sequence on standard online game “Assassin’s Creed.”

In an announcement, Netflix and Ubisoft introduced that they’ll develop a slate of properties primarily based on the best-selling sport.

The first sequence has been described as an “epic, genre-bending live-action adaptation” and the 2 firms are at the moment looking for a showrunner.

The “Assassin’s Creed” franchise launched in 2007 and has since bought greater than 155 million video games worldwide.

“From its breathtaking historical worlds and massive global appeal as one of the best selling video game franchises of all time, we are committed to carefully crafting epic and thrilling entertainment based on this distinct IP and provide a deeper dive for fans and our members around the world to enjoy,” he added.

The online game was beforehand tailored for 2016 film, starring actors Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard within the lead. However, the movie proved to be a serious essential and industrial disappointment.
