Jose Mourinho named new AS Roma coach

The 58-year-old Portuguese, who has gained 25 trophies in his managerial profession, was sacked by Premier League group Tottenham Hotspur in April after 17 months in cost.

Mourinho will take cost of the Italian aspect forward of the 2021-22 marketing campaign, with a deal that may run till 30 June 2024.

his is the second time that Mourinho has worked in Serie A. He was Inter Milan coach between 2008-2010, in his final season guiding the team to a remarkable treble — the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.

Following his departure from Tottenham, and given his track record in the sport, many wondered what was next for Mourinho.

He told The Times newspaper on Saturday that he would only take a job in what he deemed was a competitive league.

“In Germany and France, if you’re going to the membership A or membership B, your future is written instantly,” he said.

“It’s all in regards to the strain. I need it. I might select strain, at all times. Sometimes that strain turns into unbalanced, or out of proportion, however I refuse the alternative! I refuse to go to a rustic the place the strain would not exist. I refuse!”
